Well, the Philadelphia Evening ledger today has a story from Gary, Indiana, of an even more fatal fight. Three men are dead and are wounded, and the squabble started over a tree. Before It was finished the sheriff of the county had to bring an armored truck into action and tear gas bombs were freely thrown by his deputies. You may recall that the last time this manufacturer of novelties tried to organize a saffari in the Mississippi River igfelt, the wild lions which he had bought from a stranded circus were shot by a deputy sheriff who considered this form of sport cruelty to animals.
