He's Mr. E. R. Blake, instructor of Biology at the University of Pittsburgh, and he has just returned from the Orinoco where he'd been collecting birds for the University museum. He left camp alone in the middle of dnhe night, looking for birds. At a considerable distance from his camp he saw a dozen peccaries crossing his path. A peccary, ktesessssSi. is not exactly a wild boar, but it has the same equipment for doing damage. Young Mr. Blake shot one of the peccaries, thinking it would drive off the rest.
