Marist, the Rape Crisis Center
will offer a anti - rape self defense
crash course for women.

will be taught by Gary Zwerdling,
a junior at Marist. He has taught
self -
defense to women
previously at Ulster College, with
much success. As Linda stated,
"self - defense is a very im-
portant deterrent of rape. This
course will teach easy techniques
that women can learn without
athletic ability. Anyone can
learn. Rape is a very serious and
frequent offense in our com-
munity. Hopefully, the establish-
ment of the Crisis Center here
will effectively fight this problem
in our community."
