Here's something none of us ever saw. This is the central dome (40 feet high) for Colonel Payne's greenhouse. When the Brothers purchased the property in 1942, the dome and two lower greenhouses toward route 9W were gone. Brother Feliciani made do with the two lower greenhouses adjacent to the dome on the river side. A large garden was across the main road. Many of us remember weeding and tending the flowers and vegetables in that garden.
