This vintage photo shows the Cornell, California and Washington boathouses, and in the right edge of the photo a portion of the kitchen/chow house for the three boathouses. Besides the three named universities, other competitors may have shared the space.

The Cornell boathouse has been restored by Marist College and is used for shell storage. The upper floor has become a popular site for lunches and dinners for college-related groups.
