Henri Monad Braem 2

Item

Description

Above is a sketch of Ethelwyn, Henri Monad Braem's country home in Lenox MA, which in the nineteenth century was another favorite spot for country homes for the affluent.

The Braem family were active in New York City social circles, and traditionally the wealth passed to the sons, especially after widow Elizabeth married Edvard Bech. The Braem family traced its roots back to Denmark. Henri worked closely with Edward Bech and continued a member of Edward Bech & Co until his death in December 1899.
