I
I
For the present, we, the class of
1958, can only say most sincerely to
Bro. Director, "Thanks for all you have
done to further our spiritual and intel-
lectual advancement here at Marian."
For the future, we will try to demon-
strate our gratitude by imitating the
example of a religious and an educator
who has unceasingly labored for the
welfare of his Institute, for progress in
personal holiness, and for the exten-
sion
of
Christian
Instruction.
The
petition which accompanies our dedi-
cation of this book to you, Bro. Paul,
is that the disciple may prove worthy
of the Master.
Bro. Paul Ambrose, F .M.S.
Director
Such a word may seem strange when addressed
to a person we have all known and admired for
the past three years. Yet we, the graduating class,
find it our pleasant duty to welcome Bro. Kieran
as Master of Scholastics. We are the first
.
graduating
class to be thus blessed. For this we are both
glad and sad -
glad of the personal interest and
deep concern which has always be
.
en shown to us
all; sad that the time for parting has come.
Bro. Kieran Thomas, F .M.S.
Master of Scholastics
While
dedicating this
annual to
you,
Bro.
Master, we pray that God may continue to grace
future classes with your direction and example.

To speak of magnetic power 1s to speak
of attraction. Since this is true in the fie1d
of science, it is doubly so in the field of
personality.
In
paying our debt of remembrance and
prayer to Brother Roger Maurice
,
it is this,
the spirit of his life
,
that we hope to capture
and make part of our own. His stay among
us, like the time spent as a Marist, was
short. Yet
,
its brevity taught hs the happi-
ness which the magnetic strength of a
pleasant disposition, a jovial and happy
countenance, and a sincere piety affords
when one's day is done.
