Adrian Perreault
POUGHKEEPSIE -Adrian Perreault was born June 19,1919 to William and Virginia Perreault in Haverhill,
Mass. At age 13 he came to Poughkeepsie to join The Marist Brothers. He received his Bachelors Degree
from Fordham University and a Masters Degree in Library Science from St. John's University.
He taught in several Marist Brothers' schools in New England and in New York, eventually coming to
Marist College in Poughkeepsie as Head Librarian. He resumed his lay status after 40 years of service
with the Brothers and retired from the college in 1984.
Upon retiring Adrian volunteered many hours of service as an Ombudsman in several nursing facilities,
driver for cancer patients, patient representative at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, service to St. Martin's
Parish, and many other activities. He was a very active 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Adrian is survived by his wife, Betty Kopser Perreault whom he married June 19, 1993; sisters Rita Viens
and Priscilla Spaulding; stepsons Joseph and Christopher Kopser and their wives Mary Alice and Jennifer;
stepdaughters Mary Winkler and Anne Tasciotti and their husbands Robert and Frank; seven step
grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers Roland, Joseph, Raymond and Eugene Perreault and sisters Antoinette
Cavanaugh, Eleanor Viens, Irene Alvaos ad Rose Dirago.
Donations may be made in his name to: The Marist Brothers, 4200 W 15th St, Chicago IL 60655.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 24, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m at the William G. Miller & Son
Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. The Knights of Columbus Council #7551 will hold a
service at 8: pm on Friday night.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 10:00 am at St Martin de Porres
Church, Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie, NY.
Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joachim's Cemetery in Beacon NY.
