Lawrence, MA- Brother Kenneth Marino FSM, 82, died
Wednesday November 10th at Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Methuen, he was the son of the late Henri and Marie
Anne (Lanouette) Marino.
Brother Kenneth attended St. Ann s Grammar School in
Lawrence, St. Josephs Juniorate in Tyngsboro and St. Anne s
Hermitage in Poughkeepsie, NY. He later graduated from Marist
College and St. Johns University, both in NY.
His profession into the Marist order began in July of 1947, and
in 2007, he celebrated 60 years as a Marist Brother .
With the Marist Brothers, Brother Kenneth was in education,
having taught music and art for 45 years. He had served at St.
Agnes, New York City; Central Catholic in Lawrence, MA; Mount
St. Michael Bronx, NY; Marist High, Chicago, IL; and Msgr.
Edward Pace, Miami, FL. During the summers, Brother Kenneth
worked at Camp Marist in Lake Osspie, NH. Where for many
years he had been the art instructor.
During retirement he enjoyed volunteering at Mary Immaculate
Nursing and Restorative Center. Brother Marino enjoyed playing
the banjo and piano. and was considered by his family to be the
consumate uncle and spiritual leader.
He was pre-deceased by his brother, Raymond Marino and two
sisters, Eunice Belanger and Corinne Myszkowski. He is
survived by a sister in law, Loretta Marino of Merced, CA and 12
nieces and nephews, and many grand nieces and grand
nephews ..
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may pay their respects
on Sunday from 3-7 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral
Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday morning, at
10 o clock in St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Lawrence,
MA
Burial will be in the Marist Brothers Cemetery in Esopus, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marist Brothers
