"George"
St. George, 82, a resident of the Pleasant View Nursing Home in
Concord, NH, a former resident of Henniker, NH and Williamstown, MA, died November 6, 2008, following a
period of failing health
.
He was born in Chicopee, MA, on December 18, 1926. He joined the Catholic Order of the Marist Brothers
in New York at the age of 16, received his BS and MA degrees in English from Fordham University; and held
positions as Principal of Central Catholic HS in Lawrence MA, Principal of St. Joseph
'
s HS in Lowell MA, Asst
Principal of Central Catholic HS in Wheeling W. VA, and held various other teaching positions in MA and NH while
living in Williamstown MA for 12 years.
He later moved to Henniker in 1993. Rene is survived by his 4 step-sons, Wayne Cofrin of Goffstown NH,
William Cofrin of Londonderry NH, George
"Rusty"
Cofrin of Concord NH, and Michael Cofrin of Heidelberg
Germany; and a step-daughter, June Bowers of Henniker NH, 1 brother, Bernard St. George of Chicopee MA; and
18 nieces, nephews, and grandchildren
.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 6-8 PM in the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home,
and Cremation Service

St. Theresa's Church
in Henniker, NH.
Burial will be held Wednesday November 12, 2008 in Henniker New Cemetery, Henniker, NH.
