Brother Nilus Vincent (1911 - 1990)

Nilus Vincent Donnelly was born on August 1, 1911; he entered the juniorate at Saint Ann's Hermitage in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1924.
Nilus completed his novitiate in 1927 and was assigned to teach at Mount Saint Michael Academy and later Saint Ann's Academy. He also taught in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts and at Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, Massachusetts where he designed and oversaw the construction of the gym building. In 1952 he traveled to France for his Second Novitiate; on his return he was assigned to Marist College where he served as a teacher as well as an architect and builder. He remained at the College until just before his death in 1990. [1987 Jubilee booklet-edited]
