Brother Godfrey Robinson, fms, who was a teacher at several archdiocesan schools, died February 11 at St. Patrick's Nursing Home in the Bronx. He was 93.
He taught at Mount Saint Michael Academy in the Bronx, 1945 to 1948 and again 1979 to 1981; St. Ann's Academy of Manhattan, 1948 to 1949; and Cardinal Spellman High School in the Bronx from 1981 until his retirement in 1990.
Over the years, he also taught in Georgia, Massachusetts and Illinois, as well as at St. Mary's High School in Manhassett, 1972 to 1979.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he joined the Marist Brothers of the Schools in 1940.
He earned a bachelor's degree in education from Fordham University and a Masters of Arts from Staley college in Brookline Massachusetts.
His funeral mass was celebrated February 14 at the Chapel of Mount Saint Michael Academy. Brother Godfrey was buried at the Marist Brothers Cemetery in Esopus.
