Obituary-Ouellette, Brother Oswald fms

Ouellette F.M.S., Br. Oswald age 95, beloved son of the late David and Demerise Beaudoin Ouellette. Br. Oswald is survived by his sister, Anita Bourassa and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six siblings. Br. Oswald was born September 29, 1914 in Lawrence, MA and earned his B.S. in Education from Fordham University and his M.A. in History from St. John's University in New York. He was a member of the Marist Brothers of the Schools who professed his vows on July 26, 1932. He taught in New York, New Hampshire and West Virginia before his assignment to Marist H.S. in Chicago where he taught History and served as Community Bursar from 1966 until his retirement in 1992. After retirement he lived in the Marist Monastery and served as a volunteer for the Marist Development Office. Lying in state on Friday, 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Marist High School (Brothers Chapel) where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 9:30 a.m. Interment Marist Brothers Cemetery, Esopus, NY. Memorials to the Marist Brothers Provincial Development Office, 4200 W. 115th St. Chicago, IL 60655 are most appreciated.
