Summary: In part 1, In an interview recorded on August 18, 2021, Manna Jo Greene, Environmental Action Director of the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater recollects her childhood, family life, racial and social justice efforts, and experiences as nurse, recycling coordinator for Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency. She recalls her efforts at peacemaking through finding common interests, including supporting a collaborative approach to cleaning up a large tire dump in Saugerties, and facilitating a process to save a champion butternut tree from a proposed development in Poughkeepsie.

In part 2, In an interview recorded on August 18, 2021, Manna Jo Greene, the recently retired Environmental Action Director of the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, discusses her work at Clearwater and her role as the Ulster County Legislator. She recalls many of her initiatives to confront environmental issues in the Hudson Valley, including PCB clean-up in the Hudson River, decommissioning of Indian Point. She also shares details about her work in watershed protection, climate justice, as well as peacemaking and collaborative conflict resolution.
